I was very pleased to receive my new wood burner but only four days after installation the glass cracked from top to bottom. Over the four days that the fire was lit nothing had come into contact with the glass.

I have done some research online and find that if there is a flaw in stove glass it will crack after only a few burns. When I contacted the seller they told me the glass is not covered under warranty and that to enable them to undertake an investigation I would have to uninstall the stove, package it up and ship it back to them. I will have to cover all of this expense myself. They made the lousy excuse that the glass wasn't damaged in the factory and that a log must have come into contact with it. There are four small metal brackets that hold the glass in. The crack formed straight between two of these brackets so my guess would be they were maybe over tightened. I don't know whether to buy new glass at my own expense or package it up again and send it back (also at my own expense) I am now at a huge loss as I cannot use my new stove.

I was given a £30 refund through Amazon which I think is a joke as this seller can provide the glass at £35 plus £9.89 postage so already I would be out of pocket. I had someone remove the old glass so that I could fit a new piece only to find that below 2 of the retaining brackets the glass was broken (please see last four attached pictures). I most certainly would not recommend this product or its seller to anyone The screws had been tightened so much they chipped the edge of the glass in two places and as you can see from one of the pictures the glass cracked at one of these chips.
